HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women's basketball team opens the final week of the regular season at home on Monday at 7 p.m. against Longwood.

The Panthers (13-14, 11-5) picked up two dramatic road wins last week at Charleston Southern and Presbyterian. The Purple & White have locked up a bye in next week's Big South Championship hosted by Liberty in Lynchburg, Va.

Quick Hitters:
• Kaylah Keys registered nine overtime points as the Panthers picked up their first overtime win since Nov. 23, 2014 at Presbyterian on Saturday. Keys finished with 22 points while the Purple & White racked up an incredible 53-25 edge in rebounding on the day.

• This year's team could break the program's Division I record for free throw percentage and three-point percentage. The team is shooting .356 beyond the arc and .750 from the line; both are close to the previous record (.356 and .749).

• Kaylah Keys is headed toward another remarkable career milestone. The guard needs 23 rebounds to become the first Panther in the team's Division I era to rack up 400 rebounds, 300 assists and 200 steals.

• In 2015-16, the Purple & White averaged 35.8 rebounds per game and finished 241st in the nation. However, this season the Panthers are 61st this year with 40.8 rebounds per contest, which ranks second among Big South teams.

• A win would move the Panthers' record to .500 for the first time since the second game of the season when HPU beat Brevard to improve to 1-1 on the year.

• Emma Bockrath, the two-time Big South Player of the Week in February, is averaging 16.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.6 steals in HPU's 16 league contests.

• Bockrath scored at least 20 points in each of the first four games of February. The sophomore has scored in double figures in 13 of HPU's 16 league contests this season.

• High Point has drilled 180 three-pointers (6.8/game), which is the highest per game average in program history.

• Kat Harris has regained the conference lead in free throw shooting percentage and is in position to repeat as the Big South's top free thrower.

• Winners of eight of their last nine, the Purple & White are in a tie with Liberty for third in the conference. That pair sits two games behind the co-leaders - Radford and Campbell - and two games clear of Charleston Southern. Those top four teams have clinched a bye in next week's Big South tournament.

• A win would give the Panthers nine wins in their last 10 tries. That's the best stretch for High Point since the end of the 2013-14 regular season and conference tournament, which saw the squad run off 14 wins in 15 contests.

All-Time Series with Longwood
High Point has won 11 straight by an average score of 78-62. HPU leads the all-time series 23-11 and is 9-0 against the Lancers since Longwood joined the Big South.

Last Time They Met
The backcourt duo of Emma Bockrath and Kaylah Keys combined for 36 points and 10 assists as the Purple & White raced past Longwood for an 80-49 road win.

Scouting the Lancers
Longwood snapped an 11-game losing streak on Feb. 11 against Winthrop. However, the team has lost the last four games since then by an average of 28 points. The Lancers are led by the inside-out duo of Micaela Ellis and Eboni Gilliam. Ellis posts 6.8 points and 4.4 assists per game while Gilliam averages 10.0 points and 5.4 boards per night.

The Matchup to Watch
During the 17 league games, only High Point averages over 70.0 points per game (70.9 ppg). On the other hand, only Longwood allows its opponents to score more than 75 points (75.9 ppg). Likewise, HPU shoots 42 percent from the floor as Longwood allows a 47 percent clip.

Next Up
High Point is back in the Millis Center on Saturday at 2 p.m. to host Radford. Prior to tip against the Highlanders, the Panthers will honor Kaylah Keys and four-year manager Sophie Albano-Alisberg with a Senior Day ceremony.
