HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University men's track & field team completed the first day of the Virginia Tech Invitational on Friday in Blacksburg, Va.
Junior
James House posted the best Panther finish on the track for the day, placing 13th in the 60m preliminaries with a time of 6.96. The junior's time was just seven hundreds of a second off the time needed to qualify for the final.
Also on the track, freshman
Jake Dunn (1:08.43) and senior
Nick Williams (1:09.18) finished 15th and 18th respectively in the 500m run. Sophomore
Patrick Van Der Cruyssen finished in 16th in the mile run with a time of 4:24.27. Freshman
Pablo Romero Gonzalez finished 16th in the 60m hurdle preliminaries with a time of 8.75 and the 300m run with a time of 36.11.

Britton Mann finished in ninth in the weight throw with a toss of 12.90m (42-4).
