HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women's basketball team is on the road for the first time this season to take on Mississippi in Oxford, Miss. on Sunday at 3 p.m.

Last time out, the Panthers (1-1) picked up their first win of the season with an 89-42 triumph over Brevard in the Millis Center. Junior Bre Davis came off the bench to post a career-high 15 points while senior Kaylah Keys added 15 points in just 13 minutes on the floor.

As a team, the Purple & White knocked down 11 of their 21 three-point attempts while earning a 54-21 edge on the glass.

Homecoming for Keys
As is customary with head coach DeUnna Hendrix at the helm, Sunday's game serves as a homecoming for senior Kaylah Keys, a Southaven, Miss. native.

Second-Half Surges
The Panthers have outscored their opponents 75-45 after halftime on the year. HPU's depth has proven valuable in the fourth quarter where the team has a +20 margin on the season (36-16).

Keys' Climb
•  Kaylah Keys is 78 points from tying Shamia Brown for HPU's Division I scoring record. She also is within striking distance of breaking the D-I record for three-pointers and free throws made.

• The Memphis, Tenn. product is the leading active scorer in the Big South Conference and is 12th among active players nationally.

• The guard also ranks 21st in scoring in Big South history and needs five points to move into the top-20. Likewise, she needs 11 three-pointers to move into the top-10 on the league's three-pointers made list.

Reserve Impact
• HPU's bench has been highly effective for the squad registering 45 percent of the team's scoring (62-137) and half the rebounds (48-96).

• Lindsey Edwards is second on the team in scoring with 10.0 points per game coming off the bench.

• The team's leading scorer has come off the bench in both games as Edwards led the way against Ohio (11 points) before Davis racked up 15 against Brevard.

Scouting Mississippi (3-0)
Despite only posting two SEC wins last season, the Rebels, who return four starters, were picked to finish sixth in the league. So far this season, Ole Miss has dominated on its home floor beating Southern Louisiana, Lipscomb and Jacksonville State by an average of 31.7 points per game.

All-Time Series with the Rebels
Sunday's meeting will be the first ever contest between the Panthers and the Rebels.

Against the Southeastern Conference
High Point is 2-13 all-time against SEC opponents. The Purple & White beat the Florida Gators on Dec. 21, 2009 in the Gator Holiday Classic. The other win came against the Gamecocks in 1978.

Next Up
High Point continues its southern swing on Tuesday at 8 p.m. against UAB in Birmingham, Ala.
