HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University volleyball team wraps up the 2016 regular season against Gardner-Webb and Presbyterian in the Millis Center this weekend.
 
The Panthers (18-9, 9-5) have clinched a spot in next weekend's Big South Championship in Lynchburg, Va. Meanwhile, the Runnin' Bulldogs (13-16, 3-11) and the Blue Hose (5-24, 3-11) will see their seasons come to an end without a berth in the conference tournament.

SENIOR DAY
High Point will honor redshirt-senior Savannah Angel and seniors Megan Kennedy and Greta Griswold before the regular season finale against Presbyterian on Saturday.
 
WEEKEND NOTES
• Junior Haley Barnes enters the weekend needing 19 kills to become the 10th Panther in the program's Division I era with 1,000 career kills.
 
• Sophomore Molly Livingston is third in the Big South with a .305 attack percentage that ranks third in HPU's single-season rankings.
 
• Sophomore Jordan Hefner has racked up 104 total blocks on the year and needs seven more to break the program's single-season mark.
 
• Barnes has racked up 15 double-doubles on the year for the Panthers.
 
• The Purple & White have clinched a spot in the Big South Championship with their seed depending on this weekend's results.
 
• High Point has recorded five straight wins over Gardner-Webb and has won seven of the last 10 against Presbyterian.
 
• The Blue Hose (8th) and the Runnin' Bulldogs (9th) are in the bottom of the league in attack percentage while HPU is second.

• The Purple & White average 2.19 blocks per set, which would tie the program's best single-season mark.

• The Panthers are two wins away from registering back-to-back 20-win seasons for the second time since the program joined Division I (1999).
 
• In the first matchup with PC this year, Hefner and Livingston combined for 21 kills while hitting at a .655 clip.
 
• Barnes and Kennedy each notched double-doubles in HPU's 3-0 win at Gardner-Webb earlier this season.
 
NEXT UP
The Panthers won't know whom and when they will play in the Big South Championship until the conclusion of this weekend's matches. The tournament kicks off on Friday with the top two seeds not playing until Saturday's semifinals.
