First draw between the Panthers and Ducks is scheduled for noon. The game will be broadcast live on the Big South Network.

HPU has won its last three home openers inside Vert Stadium. The Panthers knocked off Navy (11-10) in 2012, Virginia Tech (9-5) in 2013 and American (11-6) in 2014.

Last time out, the Panthers opened the 2015 season at No. 2 North Carolina Friday, where the Purple & White dropped a 19-5 contest to the Tar Heels. Junior
Allie Foard led HPU with two goals to post the seventh multi-goal scoring effort of her career while junior
Kristina Renner posted two points on a goal and an assist while adding a pair of draw controls. Seniors
Stephanie Pazulski and
Abby Berrettone each registered a goal for HPU.

HPU's struggles came on the draw, where UNC held 20-6 edge that helped the host Tar Heels control possession of the game.

The Panthers moved the ball well on the offensive end of the field and posted an assist on all five goals Friday. In addition to Renner, juniors
Emily Meier and
Leah Pace, sophomore
Samantha Brown and freshman
Erica Perrotta also distributed assists on the night.

Senior
Julia Burns played all 60 minutes in goal and made nine saves on the night, while Meier picked up a team-high three ground balls for HPU.

History vs. OregonSunday's game will mark the third all-time meeting between the Panthers and Ducks. HPU has posted a 1-1 record in the series and won the first meeting, 13-10, between the teams on March 25, 2012 in High Point. The Ducks captured the most recent contest, 7-6, in Eugene on March 2, 2013.

A Look At The Ducks (1-0, 0-0 MPSL)Oregon was picked fourth in the MPSF preseason poll behind No. 19 Denver, No. 20 Stanford and USC, respectively. Oregon returns seven of its 12 players from last year's starting lineup for 2015. Of the seven players returning, four are coming from the offense side, including All-MPSF selection Carly O'Connell. On the defensive end, the Ducks also return all-conference honoree Ali Scharkey.

Oregon opened its season with an 18-1 victory over Presbyterian on Friday in Clinton, S.C. Junior middie Holly Johnson led the Ducks with six points (1g, 5a) in the contest.
Up NextHPU remains at home to host ACC foe Virginia Tech on Friday (Feb. 20) at 6 p.m. inside Vert Stadium.
