High Point fell to the nationally-ranked Highlanders by a score of 2-1 in overtime last Saturday. Sophomore
Ebe Kudolo scored the lone goal for the Panthers with a shot from 35 yards out that was voted the TopDrawerSoccer.com Goal of the Week. HPU had a chance to win the game late but was denied by a double save from Radford keeper Aitor Pouseu Blanco. The RU keeper made a diving stop on a shot by redshirt-junior
Pat Shelton then recovered to make a one-handed stop on the follow by junior
Chris Ramsell. High Point dropped to 6-5-3 overall and 2-2-1 in the Big South with the loss.

Ryeong Choi have all scored multiple goal on the season for HPU. Kudolo is tops on the team with three of HPU's 19 assists.
The High Point defense has been among the best both in the Big South and in the nation this season, allowing 12 goals in 14 games. The Panthers are second in the Big South with a 0.80 goals-against average. Redshirt-senior
Kody Palmer has played every minute between the pipes for HPU and is 6-5-3 with a 0.80 goals-against average and six shutouts.
Winthrop comes into the weekend with a 7-5-0 overall record and a perfect 5-0-0 mark in the Big South, including a 1-0 home win over Radford. The Eagles are coming off a 4-0 win over Presbyterian College on Wednesday.
Preseason Big South Offensive Player of the Year Max Hasenstab leads Winthrop with eight goals and 18 points in 2015. The forward is currently tied for third in the conference in both goals and points. Jordi Lluch also ranks among the league leaders with seven goals and 16 points while Max Gatze is tops among the Eagles and tied for first in the Big South with five assists. Keeper Fabian Broich has appeared in eight games for Winthrop and is 7-1-0 with a 1.31 goals-against average and three shutouts.
High Point is 6-15-1 all-time against Winthrop, including a 3-2 double-overtime victory on the road last season. Former Panther
