FINAL RESULTS
Alex Fisher set a PR in the 55-meter hurdles and
TJ Brancaccio took second in the pole vault Saturday when the High Point University men's track & field team competed at the Mountaineer Open hosted by Appalachian State on Saturday.
“Alex and TJ are progressing very well this season,” said head coach
Mike Esposito. “They are setting up to do well at the conference championship.”
Fisher won his heat of the 55-meter hurdles with a personal best time of 7.81, advancing to the finals. In the finals he ran a 7.79 to place sixth in the event.
Brancaccio and
Jacob Mathews placed second and fifth in the pole vault respectively. Brancaccio cleared 4.59 meters (15'0.75) while Smith vaulted 4.29 (14'0.75).
In the mile,
Michael Feroe placed eighth with a time of 4:41.81.
Jonathan Riley took sixth in the 3,000-meter in 9:25.87.
Corey Grove ran a 2:01.55 in the 800-meter, good for 11th place.
Steven Scally placed 13th in the weight throw with a throw of 11.41 metes (37'5.25).
