Sophomore Audra McShane fired a one-over 73 to finish first in a dual match with Gardner-Webb at the Patriot Golf Club on Saturday. GWU finished four strokes better than the Panthers, firing a 324 to HPU's 328.

Playing at the site of the 2011 Big South Championship, McShane finished five strokes ahead of the field to pick up the individual victory. Senior Danielle Soderberg was High Point's second-best finisher on the day, shooting an 82 to come in fourth. Junior Chelsea Clendenin finished in sixth with an 18-hole score of 84 while senior Leahanna Norris finished in eighth after firing an 89. Sophomore Jessica Neese finished in a tie for ninth after carding a 90.

The Panthers next head to Kiawah Island, S.C., to finish off their fall season in the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate on Oct 25-26. The two-day 36-hole event will be held at the Oak Point Golf Club and will tee off at 8:30 a.m., both days.
