SALISBURY, N.C. — Three High Point University women's golfers competed as individuals at The Patsy Rendleman Invitational, which concluded Tuesday afternoon after 54 holes of play, at the Country Club of Salisbury.
The Panthers had a pair of runner-up finishers in
Peyton Costabile and
Ambre Matlega as
Savannah Cherry finished ninth to have all HPU competitors place in the top-10.

Costabile and Matlega shot identical scores through all three rounds, finishing tied for second with a 54-hole score of 227. Costabile sunk four birdies while Matlega made three as each of them saw their best round come in the opening 18 with a 2-over-par 73. Matlega had a tournament second-best 36 pars as Costabile followed with 34.
Cherry shot two rounds of 76 to start and end the tournament to finish ninth. She had four birdies and parred 30 holes.
