Leslie Anderson's goal in the 83rd minute proved to be the match-winner as Western Kentucky defeated High Point 3-2 in women's soccer action Friday night.

The Panthers fell to 1-4 on the season, while the Lady Toppers improved to 3-2.

Western put nine shots on goal against Panther goalkeeper Katie Myers, who recorded six saves in the period.  The Lady Toppers finally broke into the scoring column with under a minute left in the half when Tara Tidwell scored the first goal of her career, finding the left corner of the net off an assist from
Betsy Duncan and Andrea Doogs.

The Panthers evened the score in the 53rd minute as Jen Evans took a pass from Reine DeLaat and found the net. Western responded with Jenna Silverberg's sixth goal of the season in the 68th minute to snatch a 2-1 lead.

But HPU got an equalizer in the 75th minute when Emily Lanham found the back of the net to tie the score at 2-2.
