Jennifer Belk tallied a match-high 18 kills to help host Liberty to a 3-0 (30-14, 30-23, 30-28) victory over High Point Tuesday evening at the Vines Center.

The win lifts the Lady Flames' record to 5-9 (1-0 in Big South play), while the Panthers fall to 1-13, 0-2.

With the Lady Flames up 5-4 in the opening game, they scored 15 of the next 19 points in taking command in the first game en route to the opening game victory. In the second game, High Point got as close as four points at 23-19 but could not pull any closer as the Lady Flames took a 2-0 edge in the match.

In the third and final game, the Panthers rallied from an early deficit taking a 26-25 lead but could not hold on as Liberty scored five of the game's final seven points in the third game.

Kimberly Wright posted a team-high nine kills for High Point. Lindsey Steinhaus added nine digs.

The Panthers return home Saturday to face Western Carolina at noon.
