Matt O'Neil went 3-for-5 and drove in three runs to help the Panthers blitz Furman, 9-1, in the finale of a three-game set.
The Panthers took 2-of-3 in their first series of the year.
Kevin Burch (1-0) allowed just one run in 7 2/3 innings of work to earn the victory.
Furman got on the board fist after a Nick Wajda single to left field scoring Derek Norman. High Point came right back in the top of the fifth when Danny Rueckel (0-1) gave up a single to O'Neil, allowing Dan Jones and Jayson Hoffman to score.
High Point broke the game open in the top of the seventh when the Panthers scored five runs off Paladin relievers. Seniors Andy Harney and John Cavanaugh both had two run singles to help High Point to an 8-1 lead.
The Panthers return to the field on Wednesday to face North Carolina A&T in Greensboro at 3:00pm.
