High Point snapped a losing streak with a 3-1 victory over Alcorn State, and then fell 3-0 to host Georgia State in a tri-match Saturday afternoon in Atlanta.

The Panthers (6-25) have a week off before their final two conference matches of the season.

HPU took out Alcorn by a linescore of 30-17, 22-30, 30-23, and 30-12.

The Panthers played a marvelous first game, accumulating 14 kills on a hitting percentage of .500. That performance was topped only by HPU's game-four effort, which saw the Panthers put together a hitting percentage of .583 (16 kills).

Tracyann Pryce led the Panthers with 14 kills and five blocks. Kimberly Wright added 12 kills, and Kamarsha Ryan provided 11 kills and a match-high 10 digs. Jaime Kutz had a match-high 44 assists.

The Braves (24-9) were led by LaToya Washington's 14 kills.

In the second match, HPU fell to Atlantic Sun champion Georgia State in three games, 30-17, 30-16, 30-20. Pryce led the way for HPU with seven kills, while Wright added 10 digs.

High Point finishes the regular season with home matches against Charleston Southern and Coastal Carolina Friday and Saturday.
