The Panthers improve to 7-25 (2-11 in the Big South), while the Buccaneers drop to 6-26, 2-11.

HPU won a hard-fought first game, 30-26, behind a balanced offensive attack. Wright and Heather Brooks each had four kills to lead the way. The Panthers also took game two, 30-28, after jumping out to a big lead and surviving on the strength of Wright's eight kills.

CSU took game three, 30-25, to get back in it. Allyn Beam and Victoria Owens each recorded five kills in the frame.

But in decisive game four, HPU opened with a 23-9 lead and coasted the rest of the way. Wright's 24th kill of the night was the game winner.

Brooks and Lindsey Steinhaus also reached double-figures in kills (10 apiece). April Shields led the Panthers defensively with 12 digs, while Steinhaus recorded 12 and Wright 10. Jaime Kutz tallied a match-high 51 assists.

Owens and Rebecca Miller led CSU with 11 kills apiece. Rachel DeAngelo paced the Bucs defensively with 13 digs.
