The High Point University Panthers rallied from a 2-0 deficit, but could not get any closer as the Charleston Southern Buccaneers defeated the Panthers 3-1 in volleyball action Saturday afternoon in the Millis Center.
The Panthers fell to 2-16 on the season and 0-5 in the Big South Conference, while CSU improved to 4-5 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
The Panthers were led by junior Tracyann Pryce (Kingston, Jamaica) with 20 kills, while junior LIndsey Steinhaus (Sugarland, TX) added 17. Sophomore Kristy Flynt (Ft. Myers, FL) had 30 assists in the match, and junior Kimberly Wright (Naperville, IL) had 25. Wright added 19 digs and Steinhaus had 16).
The Buccaneers were led by senior Jennifer Monson (Omaha, NE) and her 28 kills. Senior Tricia Wilson (Woodbridge, VA) added 13. Senior Michelle Lewandowski (Shorewood, IL) had a game-high 51 assists in the match and Wilson added 15 digs.
