The Lady Flames hosted the High Point Panthers in their first meeting of the new 2001 Big South conference season and clinched a victory, sweeping the match 3-0, with games scores of 30-18, 30-24, 30-21.

Rachel Harnack (Sr., Ortonville, Mich.) led the attack with 21 kills, three block assists and a .586 hitting percentage, followed by Jennifer Belk (Fr., Leander, Texas) who tallied eight kills and one service ace. Michelle Howland (Sr., El Cajon, Calif.) Added 33 assists and seven digs for the match.

Kimberly Wright (Jr., Naperville, Ill.) led the Panthers offense recording nine kills and seven digs, while Tracyann Pryce (Jr., Kingston, Jamaica) added six kills, three block solos and .286 hitting percentage for the match.
