Aryn Moura

Moura comes to High Point after spending the last two seasons as the graduate assistant coach at Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU). In his first season in Marshall, Minn. he helped lead the Mustangs to 29-4 record and the No. 3 ranking in the 2017 AVCA Division II poll. The following season Moura led SMSU to a 24-9 record and a second place finish in the 2018 NSIC Conference Tournament. The Mustangs finished seventh in the final AVCA DII poll.
 
During his time at SMSU, Moura coached five DII All-Americans and the 2017 and 2018 AVCA National Player of the Year. He also helped in developing the 2018 DII Honda Athlete of the Year.
 
Prior to his time with the Mustangs, Moura served as a student assistant coach at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). His time in Colorado Springs, Colo. saw the Mountain Lions’ record improve from 11-16 in the 2013 season to 18-10 in the 2016 season. He also assisted in recruiting efforts for UCCS.
 
Moura graduated from UCCS in the spring of 2017 with a bachelor of science in business with an emphasis in Human Resources and General Management. He also earned a master’s of science in education with an emphasis in Sport Leadership from SMSU in 2019.
 
Along with his SMSU and UCCS coaching experience, Moura also coached the Southwest Minnesota Juniors leading the team to a 32-3 record.
 
Moura is originally from 'Ele'ele, Hawaii.
