HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point University Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach Lyndsey Boswell announced the hiring of Lauren Di Puorto as an assistant coach in February 2024.
“I feel so fortunate for the opportunity to be a part of such a special program and continue to share my love for the game with student athletes,” Di Puorto said. “I am excited to hit the ground running and work to bring home a Championship this season! Go Panthers!”
Prior to High Point, Di Puorto coached at Catawba College for three seasons as the offensive coordinator and goalie coach. While at Catawba, she helped coach the Indians first-ever All American, Aryn Dorr. Dorr led all of NCAA Division II in save percentage and ranks first in program history in numerous statistical categories.
Before Catawba, Di Puorto coached at the high school level at Hickory High School (NC) and Forsyth Country Day School.
Di Puorto is an alumni of Lenoir-Rhyne University where she played both soccer and lacrosse. As a member of the lacrosse team, Di Puorto started in all 69 games and is the current all-time leader in points (253) and goals (167). In her senior year, she was named South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year, All- Conference, All-Region and Third Team All-American.
She also coached club lacrosse for multiple clubs in North Carolina over the course of six years.
Di Puorto graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2015, earning her bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education. Di Puorto lives in Trinity, NC, with her husband, Raffaele and two children, Lorenzo and Emilia.
