Reginald Hines

Reginald Hines joins the HPU women’s basketball staff after serving 3 years as Director/coach for women’s club basketball team at High Point University.
 
Before joining High Point University, Hines had a noteworthy coaching journey that showcased his expertise and impact on the basketball scene. Hines served as the Head Coach at Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC), where he achieved remarkable success. During his tenure, he had the privilege of coaching the Player of the Year, and the number 2 leading scorer in the nation, highlighting his ability to nurture and develop talent.
 
Hines also made valuable contributions as an Assistant Coach at Guilford College and Greensboro College. During his time at Guilford College, the team achieved the impressive feat of winning back-to-back ODAC (Old Dominion Athletic Conference) Championships, showcasing his role in the team's success.
 
A native of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Reginald Hines brings a deep-rooted connection to the state's basketball landscape.
In addition to his on-court coaching prowess, Hines has been a valuable member of the basketball community, contributing to USA Basketball oversees the past 3 summers in Argentina, Spain, and Portugal.
 
In 1994, Hines proudly graduated from Elizabeth City State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Economics and Finance.
