Nugent joined the High Point University Sports Medicine Staff in August of 2021 and serves as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for women's basketball.
She comes to HPU after spending two years at the University of Iowa, where she received her master's of science in Clinical Exercise Physiology while working with the Hawkeyes' men's and women's track and field and cross country programs.
Nugent is a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia and earned her bachelor's of science in Athletic Training from the University of Michigan in 2019. She is an NATA member and has an Active Release Technique for Lower Extremity Level 1 certification.
