16851Hailey Yohn has been promoted from director of operations to assistant coach, head coach DeUnna Hendrix announced in the summer of 2016.

In her two seasons as an assistant, Yohn helped lead the Panthers to a 32-29 overall mark, 23-13 record in league play and two top-4 Big South finishes. Meanwhile, Yohn coached guard Emma Bockrath to winning the Big South Player of the Year award as the squad’s other starting guard - Kaylah Keys - was named to the All-Big South Second Team.

The former sharpshooter has helped the Panthers finish in the top-2 in the conference in free-throw percentage and three-point percentage the last two years.

Yohn, a 2015 graduate of Coker College, moved to assistant after serving as the program’s director of operations during the 2015-16 season.

In her first season as an assistant, the Panthers improved their win total by three games overall as well as in conference play. Likewise, she helped Emma Bockrath earn Big South Player of the Year honors while Kaylah Keys was named to the all-conference second team. Similarly, Camryn Brown earned Big South All-Freshman honors.

During her two seasons with High Point - the first as the program’s director of operations - the Purple & White have posted a 44-49 record and a 33-23 mark in league play.

Yohn was a three-year captain for the Cobras and graduated as the school’s all-time leader in made 3-pointers (211). During her playing career she was named to the South Athletic Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll twice and was voted as the team’s MVP in 2013.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Sports Studies in May 2015 from Coker College. Yohn has served as a camp coach at Duke University and the University of North Carolina during her collegiate career as well as serving as a student intern for the Coker College men’s basketball team. The former guard was selected to the So You Want to be a Coach Program, which attended the 2015 Final Four in Tampa Bay to learn from various Division I, II and III women’s basketball coaches.

Yohn now resides in High Point, N.C.
