Chyna McMichel was added to the women's basketball staff prior to the 2021-22 season as the director of video operations. 

McMichel spent the past two seasons in the Purple and White playing for head coach Chelsea Banbury, suiting up for 48 games and helping HPU to its first ever NCAA Tournament berth in 2020-21. Prior to High Point, she spent two years at Miami Dade College, helping the Sharks to back-to-back Southern Conference Championships. 

An all-state star for Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet High School in Indianapolis, McMichel played four season of varsity basketball and became the first woman in school history to score 1,000 points.
