Matt Schooler is High Point University's Director of Athletic Training, a post he assumed in 2009. Schooler joined the HPU athletic training staff in August 2003 and has worked extensively with the entire athletic program at High Point. He currently oversees coverage for the Panthers' men's basketball team and men's and women's golf teams in addition to supervising athletic training for all 16 varsity sports at HPU.
Schooler oversees HPU's entire athletic training program, which includes a staff of six other certified athletic trainers. High Point University athletic training provides comprehensive sports medicine services for HPU's intercollegiate athletes as well as visiting team athletes, including injury prevention, support and rehabilitation for injured athletes, as well as medical emergency management.
Schooler earned his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Eureka College in 2001. He was a four-year member of the Red Devils golf team. He earned his master's degree in Secondary Education at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
A native of Georgetown, Ill., Schooler resides in Kernersville, N.C., with his wife Lisa and daughter Emma.
