Peter Dolan

Peter Dolan was announced as an assistant coach for the High Point University Men’s Lacrosse program on July 15, 2024. He joined first-year head coach John Crawley for the 2025 season.

During the 2025 season, High Point went 7-9 overall and 3-2 in the league finishing as the A10 regular season runner-ups for the first time since joining the A10 in 2023. Dolan was apart of the staff that guided the No. 2 seeded Panthers to the A10 Championship game for the second time after knocking off No. 3 seed Saint Joseph’s in the semifinals. Twelve Panthers earned post season honors as eight players made the A10 All-Conference selections and four players were named to the A10 All-Championship team. During the regular season, HPU defeated two ranked opponents, first on the road against No. 16 University of Massachusetts (14-9) and then at home against No. 16 Saint Joseph’s (11-9).

Under Dolan's guidance on the faceoff crew, Luca Accardo was named a Nike Lacrosse All-American, an A10 First Team All-Conference selection, and to the A10 All-Championship team. Accardo broke multiple program records during the season including the single-season faceoff wins record with 218 wins, the single-season ground balls record with 154 ground balls and tied the single-game faceoff wins record going 22-27 against Saint Joseph's in the A10 semifinals. He led the league on the faceoff and finished the regular-season ranked third overall in the NCAA in ground balls per game (8.93 pg).

Dolan joined the Panthers after spending the past four seasons at Rutgers University as the Men’s Lacrosse Volunteer Assistant Coach. Dolan worked with Rutgers’ specialists (face-off and goalkeepers) and assisted with day-to-day office responsibilities, player development, on campus recruiting, video, and scouting needs.

Dolan helped guide The Scarlet Knights to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances and earned victories in each postseason, advancing to the Final Four (2022) and Quarterfinals (2021).

A season ago in 2023, Rutgers claimed eight wins and finished No. 15 in the RPI. Rutgers finished its season with an 8-6 record. The Scarlet Knights were nationally ranked for the entire season, peaking at No. 6. RU claimed four wins over NCAA Tournament teams, three wins over teams in the top-15 of the selection RPI, and their three ranked wins during the year included a win over then-No. 5 Loyola and overtime wins over rival Princeton and eventual Big Ten Tournament champion Michigan. Three players were named All-Conference and three players were named All-Americans.

In 2022, Rutgers had a historic season with the program's first ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament Final Four. The Scarlet Knights set a new program record with 15 wins, smashing the previous record of 11. RU downed a record six ranked foes during the season (No. 10 Army, No. 19 Loyola, No. 8 Ohio State, No. 12 Ohio State, No. 14 Harvard and No. 3 Penn), while advancing to the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game for the first time since 2016. Rutgers hosted an NCAA Tournament game for the first time since 2003 and defeated Harvard in front of 5,212 fans, the third largest crowd for an NCAA Tournament First Round game since 2003. RU then defeated No. 3 Penn in the NCAA Quarterfinals to match the highest ranked win in program history. Dolan mentored goalkeeper Colin Kirst, who was named a Second Team All-American.

In the summer of 2022, Dolan served as an assistant coach for Team Ireland at the U-21 World Championships, helping the team to a seventh place finish.

In 2021, Rutgers went to the NCAA Tournament for the program's first NCAA appearance since 2004. The Scarlet Knights grabbed a 12-5 opening round victory over Lehigh that was RU's first NCAA win since 1990. RU had five ranked wins in the course of the season (No. 6 Penn State, No. 6 Ohio State, No. 14 Johns Hopkins, No. 14 Ohio State and No. 10 Lehigh) in a historic campaign for the program. Overseeing the specialists, Dolan saw goalkeeper Colin Kirst named Big Ten Specialist of the Year and an All-American.

Dolan joined the Scarlet Knights after previously serving as an assistant coach with Western New England University. Prior to that, he worked as an assistant coach at Lasell University for three years. While he was on the staff at Lasell, the Lasers won 25 games, including a 16-2 season in 2019, advancing to the conference championship game.

Dolan also brings experience working in private face-off training with the Face-Off School and working with Rutgers alumni Joe Nardella at Faceoff Factory. He also coached with 3d New England Lacrosse, working with high schoolers and youth level athletes (men’s and women’s) for both indoor and outdoor.

A native of Pearl River, N.Y., Dolan graduated from Lasell in 2017 with a Major in Communications. He was a member of their 2017 men’s lacrosse GNAC conference champion team. He played in 41 games throughout his college career, taking 304 career faceoffs and registering 72 ground balls and seven points.

The son of Rich and Cindy, Dolan has two sisters who also played collegiate lacrosse (Caroline, Muhlenberg College Class of 2019, and Annie, current student-athlete at Occidental College). Dolan previously worked as a content producer with Lax Sports Network, working on broadcasts for MLL and collegiate games.
