Biography

Nick Barbour finished his collegiate career ranked in High Point's top five in 11 different categories, including No. 1 all-time in three-pointers made (314) and attempted (780), second all-time in scoring (2,121 points), second in free-throws made (487), fourth in field-goals made (660) and tied for fifth in steals (129). This season, Barbour set HPU records for three-pointers made (108) and attempted (223) and his .484 three-point percentage ranked third all-time. Barbour scored 633 points and averaged 20.4 points, both of which rank third in HPU's Div. I era. Barbour became just the second player in HPU history to lead the team in scoring all four years.

2011-12: First team All-Big South and first team NABC All-District ... Led the Big South and ranked 12th in the NCAA with his 20.4 points per game ... Led the nation in three-point percentage (48.4) and ranked second in the nation in three-pointers per game (3.5) ... Shot 82.9 percent from the free-throw line, which ranked fourth in the Big South ... Led High Point in scoring 18 times and scored at least 20 points in 15 games ... Scored 35 points with seven three-pointers against Wake Forest on Dec. 7 ... Scored over 30 points in six games, including 33 in consecutive games against UNC Asheville on Jan. 14 and Radford on Jan. 17 ... Hit seven three-pointers to break HPU's career 3-pointer record against Gardner-Webb on Feb. 4; led the Panthers with 34 points and trey with 0.7 in 2nd half forced overtime in the HPU victory ... Scored his 2,000th career point at Charleston Southern on Feb. 11 ... Scored an HPU Div. I-record 44 points against Campbell on Feb. 22, hitting seven three-pointers and becoming HPU's Div. 2010-11: Second-team All-Big South selection after ranking second in scoring in league games, with 19.3 per contest ... In all games, averaged 17.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, shot 40.5 percent from the field and 36.2 percent from three-point range ... Big South Preseason Player of the Year ... Scored 1,000th career point in a win against Gwynedd-Mercy on Nov. 19 ... Earned Big South Player of the week honors on Nov. 29 after scoring 20 points against The Citadel and 25 points against Hampton ... Scored 25 points against Hampton on 5-6 shooting from three-point range ... Tallied 22 points at Radford on Jan. 8, with 20 points in the second half ... 2008-09: Led HPU in scoring as a freshman, averaging 14.2 points on his way to Big South All-Freshman honors ... Played in all 30 games, starting 14 ... Averaged 14.2 points per game and 2.9 rebounds in 27.7 minutes ... In 18 Big South games, averaged 15.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 28.9 minutes ... In Big South games, ranked ninth in the league in scoring, fifth in free-throw percentage (75.4) and 10th in field goal percentage (38.9) ... In his third collegiate game at NC State on Nov. 22, scored 22 points and pulled down six rebounds ...
