Trey Zeigler

High Point University Head Men’s Basketball Coach Alan Huss announced the addition of Trey Zeigler to the 2023-24 staff. 
 
In one season at Creighton as a graduate assistant, Zeigler was part of the best postseason run in school history, reaching the Elite 8. Zeigler played in integral part over player development and helped with the development of all Big-East players Ryan Kalkbrenner , Baylor Scheierman , and Trey Alexander. Individual training with Trey Alexander saw him go from a 28 percent three-point shooter to a 41 percent shooter from three during the 2022-23 season. 
 
Before diving into college coaching, Zeigler played professionally for several seasons. From 2015-2022, Zeigler played in nine different countries. He was named to four different Eurobasket.com all-league teams during his professional career. In his 2020-2021 season Zeigler was the only player in Europe to average over 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
 
Zeigler ended his college basketball playing career at TCU, recording almost 1,500 points and 600 rebounds, while dishing out over 250 assists. 
 
A 2010 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, where he played for head coach Sam Taylor, Zeigler scored 1,644 points and grabbed 648 rebounds in his four-year career. He averaged 24.3 points and 10.5 rebounds per game as a senior and finished second in the Michigan "Mr. Basketball" voting. Zeigler was named to the third team All-American by MaxPreps.com. Coming out of high school, Zeigler was a consensus top 30 player.
