Jacob Buehner joined the High Point University Strength & Conditioning staff in September 2026, where he works with the women’s basketball and baseball programs.
Prior to joining High Point University, Jacob served as the Head Performance and Strength & Conditioning Coach at Worthington Kilbourne High School in Columbus, Ohio. He was hired by SES to provide strength and conditioning at Worthington Kilbourne while also working within the private sector. In this role, he oversaw all aspects of strength and conditioning for football, boys’ and girls’ basketball, boys’ and girls’ volleyball, boys’ and girls’ cross country, field hockey, boys’ lacrosse, and cheerleading.
Before his time at Worthington Kilbourne, Buehner attended the University of Kentucky, where he earned a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology along with a certificate in High-Performance Coaching. While at Kentucky, he served as a graduate assistant with MoveWell and completed internships with women’s basketball, baseball, softball, gymnastics, women’s soccer, and track and field.
Buehner earned his B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Wyoming, where he served as a strength and conditioning intern with the men’s basketball program.
He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
A native of Rapid City, South Dakota, Buehner currently resides in Greensboro, North Carolina.
