Bobby Andino Headshot

Bobby Andino

Bobby Andino was named the High Point University baseball Director of Player Development and Advanced Scouting in September 2020.

He will be in charge of implementing various skill development systems and accumulating analytics information for the baseball program on a daily basis. Beyond that, Andino will prepare the team's in-season scouting reports on opponents and disseminate that information to the team staff and players in the spring.

Andino most recently served in a similar capacity at FIU, in the role of the Panthers' Advanced Scouting Coordinator for the 2020 season. At FIU he was responsible for the complete evaluation and scouting of opponents as well as the Panther and assisted with preparation for game days. He helped lead FIU to a 10-5 record before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Prior to working for FIU, Andino coached various high school, middle school, and travel clubs around North Carolina from 2011-17. That was following a 10-year hiatus from the sport to spend time with his children. Before Andino stepped away from the game in the early part of the 21st century, he was an Associate Scout with the Anaheim Angels, scouting in South Florida under area scout Todd Claus.

Andino played high school ball at Lake Howell High in Winter Park, Fla. where he was a two-time First Team All-Conference player. Following high school, Andino played semi-professionally in Puerto Rico before injuries cut his career short. He returned to Florida and attended Valencia College in Orlando, Fla. before getting into scouting with the Angels.
