Biography

2014: Appeared in eight games with three starts ... Finished with a 2-3 record and a 3.25 ERA in 27-2/3 innings pitched ... Made his first start in two seasons and pitched a career-high 6-1/3 innings in a 1-0 loss at Clemson (5/7/14) ... Earned his first collegiate win with two innings of scorless relief at Appalachian State (4/8/14) ... Made his season debut againt Bowling Green, his first appearance in two seasons ... Pitched 2-2/3 innings and allowed one earned run on three hits and two walks (3/9/14).

2013: Redshirting Season ... Millis Scholar-Athlete.

2012: Made two starts before an injury sidelined him for two months ... Took tough-luck loss to Dayton, allowing two runs on one hit with four strikeouts in five innings of work (2/25) ... Was hit in the foot by a line drive in the sixth inning ... Returned to action against 
Presbyterian (4/15) for a short relief appearance ... Big South Presidential Honor Roll Selection and Millis Scholar-Athlete .

Before HPU: Redshirted his freshman season at Kentucky before playing at Parkland Community College in 2011 ... Went 10-1 at Parkland with a 2.01 ERA in 12 starts and earned third team NJCAA All-American honors ... Gave up 15 earned runs in 67-1/3 innings while striking out 55 ... Named the Region 24 Pitcher of the Year and first team All-MWAC.
 

Prep: As a senior in high school he was named All-State, All-Conference and all-area posting a 7-2 record with two saves and a 2.01 ERA ... Hurled 73 innings with 124 strikeouts and 37 walks ... Tabbed MSL East Player of the Year in 2009 and 2009 All-Area Player of the Year.

Personal:  Earned undergraduate degree in  Business Administration and now working towards MBA ... Son of David and Cathy Carlson ... Has a brother, David ...  Born Jonathon David Carlson on March 7, 1991.
