Head coach Joey Hammond announced the addition of assistant coach Miles Miller on July 14, 2021.

During the 2022 season, Miller helped guide the Panthers pitching staff to a first-place finish in the Big South regular season for ERA. He assisted the pitching staff in producing two of the top four Big South individual ERAs during the regular season (Sam Garcia and Sean Duffy) while also helping produce four of the Big South’s top 10 individual ERAs during the Big South Conference games (Sam Garcia, Sean Duffy, Everett Vaughan, & Teddy Merritt). The team’s overall conference ERA improved from 6.31 (7^th in Big South) in 2021 to 4.44 (1^st) in 2022. The 2022 pitching staff helped High Point finish 9^th overall in program history for single season strikeouts with 405. Following the 2022 season, three pitchers were names to the Big South Postseason All-Conference teams including; starting pitcher Sam Garcia,1^st team All-Conference, relief pitcher Sean Duffy, second team All-Conference and Everett Vaughan to the All-Freshman team. 

Prior to High Point, Miller spent the previous four years with the Towson baseball team.  He was elevated to associate head coach in 2019 and served as the team's pitching coach.

Miller's pitching staff in 2021 set a new Towson single season program record with 419 strikeouts pitched, helping the Tigers earn their first CAA Tournament berth since 2013 and the highest single-season win total since 2014.

In 2020, Miller was the interim head coach during the 15-game season, shortened due to the COVID-19 outbreak.  Towson earned its first road non-conference series victory since 2017 with two wins at High Point plus took three of four against Lafayette, going 7-8 on the year, including a 4-1 home record and 7-5 record against unranked opponents.  As the pitching coach, Miller had two Tigers rank in the top-10 of the CAA in each earned run average and opposing batting average and had an ERA of 4.29, improving 1.3 from 2019. 

Miller's second season saw a vast improvement for the Towson pitching staff, with the team ERA going down to 5.59, from 7.31 in 2018, plus the opposing batting average going down from .303 in 2018 to .274 in 2019. In total, six Towson pitchers recorded at least 35 strikeouts.

In his first season with the Tigers in 2018, Towson improved the amount of total strikeouts by 50 from the previous season, plus had four players with at least 46 strikeouts. 
 
Miller comes to Towson after spending 2017 as the volunteer assistant at Purdue University, serving as the bench and bullpen coach.  In his lone season, he helped the Boilermakers post their first winning season since 2012.  The team finished with 29 wins, a 19-win improvement from the previous season.
 
The Boilermakers bullpen was led by NCBWA All-American Ross Learnard, who had a streak of 35.2 scoreless innings.  Dalton Parker would also set a new single-season freshman record with six saves.
 
He arrived in West Lafayette after spending the previous four seasons at Butler University.  After one season on staff on the Bulldogs, Miller was promoted to pitching coach and recruiting coordinator.  The team saw immediate results in Miller’s first season as the team ERA dropped nearly two points.
 
Three pitchers earned All-Big East honors during his tenure and Eric Stout was selected in the 13th round of the 2014 MLB First-Year Player Draft, the Bulldogs' first draftee since 2002.
 
Overall, Miller has coached 12 pitchers that were selected the MLB First Year Player Draft, and an additional six pitchers who went on to sign professional contracts.  He also coached a pair of pitchers who threw in the World Baseball Classic.
 
Miller was also very instrumental of creating the annual First Pitch Dinner for the baseball program at Butler.
 
He joined the Bulldogs staff after a two-year stint at Philadelphia University.  He assumed the duties of the recruiting coordinator after his first season and then was promoted to associate head coach prior to his departure.
 
Miller began his college coaching career at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut.
 
He has extensive summer league experience after serving as the pitching coach for the Waterloo Bucks of the Northwoods League, the New Bedford Bay Sox of the New England Collegiate League and the Torrington Titans of the Atlantic Collegiate League. While with Torrington, he coached future first-round pick Chris Reed.
 
Before beginning his coaching career, Miller spent two-and-a-half years as an assistant director for Velocity Sports Performance, a facility specializing in sports performance and adult fitness programs in Scottsdale, Arizona.
 
Miller played collegiately at San Diego Mesa College before receiving his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Grand Canyon University.
