Chris Fenisey

Chris Fenisey

Fenisey joined the High Point baseball staff in January 2018 after two seasons as an assistant coach at Greensboro College. Since joining the Panthers' staff, High Point has enjoyed back-to-back .500 or better seasons, and in his first season with the program, High Point reached the Big South Tournament Championship game for the first time in program history.

At Greensboro College, he was tabbed as the team's hitting coach and helped raise the Pride's batting average 55 points from 2016 to 2017 to .309. Eleven members of the team possessed a batting average greater than .300. Additionally, the Pride finished second in the nation with 469 hits, which established a new school record.

On the field, Fenisey was tasked with the defensive strategy for the team's outfielders and first baseman and served as the first base coach. In addition, he headed the Pride's player development program and was the team's travel coordinator, recruiting coordinator, and camp coordinator.

A native of Tampa, Fla., Fenisey spent six seasons at his alma mater, Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, Fla. His playing career was cut short due to injury in 2010, but he joined the staff as a student assistant and aided the pitching staff for four seasons. Upon his graduation in 2013, Fenisey was promoted to a graduate assistant coach where he oversaw the development of the team's outfielders.
