CHARLOTTE, N.C. — High Point University earned the No. 2 seed in the Big South Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship, which was announced by the conference office Sunday morning.

The Panthers won their last six of seven games and completed the regular season 7-1 in Big South play, clinching their 13th straight conference tournament berth to earn a quarterfinal bye with a place in the semifinal already set.

"We like the position we're in," HPU Head Coach Lyndsey Boswell said. "We have, at times, grinded through a lot of adversity this season. We go into the postseason 0-0, and I believe we're in a great position to bring that trophy back to High Point."
 
High Point will face the winner of No. 3 Wofford or No. 6 Longwood on Friday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m. The conference tournament will be held at top-seeded Mercer in Macon, Ga.  

All matches of the championship will be broadcasted on ESPN+. The tournament champion receives the Big South's automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship. The complete schedule is as follows:
