HIGH POINT, N.C. – After a historic 2025-26 season, Head Coach
Flynn Clayman and the High Point University men's basketball team is turning the page to next season and utilizing the transfer portal. Since the portal opened on April 7, 2026, High Point picked up four new transfers to add to the 2026-27 roster for next season.
CJ Brown | Junior | South Florida
Brown joins High Point after spending two seasons at South Florida. The 6'2" junior guard started in 34 games for the Bulls and averaged 10.9 points per game, 3.9 rebounds per game, 4.7 assists per game and 1.0 steals per game. In the KenPom rankings he ranked 95th in assist rate with a 29.7% rating and 128th in free throw rate at 54.9%. Brown helped USF win the American Conference Tournament Title for first time in 36 years and made the NCAA Tournament for first time in 14 years. During Brown's freshman year, he was named to the AAC All-Freshman Team (2024-25) and was coach by current High Point assistant coach,
Ben Fletcher.
Isaac Garrett | Senior | Oakland
Garrett is a 6'8" senior forward from Oakland who averaged 13.7 points per game, 7.1 rebounds per game, 2.3 assists per game, 1.1 steals per game and 1.0 blocks per game in 2025-26. He ranked 299th in KenPom shooting percentage on 59.1% and ranked 390th in free throws after going 85/106 from the line for 80.2%. He started in all 28 games for Oakland and scored a career-high 30 points on 16-for-16 free throws vs. Robert Morris (1/4) becoming the first Oakland player to hit 30+ all season and third-most free throws made at 1.000% in program history. He posted 20 double-digit point games, and seven double-figure rebound outings with seven double-doubles on the season.
Jason Rivera-Torres | Senior | Monmouth
Rivera-Torres joins the Panthers from Monmouth as a 6'7" senior guard. During the 2025-26 season, he averaged 15.8 points per game, 8.1 rebounds per game (350th in KenPom Defensive Rebound % rating: 17.9%), 2.9 assists per game, 2.1 steals per game (117th in KenPom steal % rate: 3.3) and 1.1 blocks per game (345th in KenPom block % rate: 3.5). In the CAA he ranked top 10 for scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, and average minutes played. Following the season, he was named a Second Team All-CAA and CAA All-Defensive Team player.
Frankquon Sherman | Senior | Kennesaw State
Sherman signed with the Panthers after transferring from Kennesaw State. The 6'7" senior forward averaged 10.4 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game, 1.0 assists per game, 0.9 steals per game and 0.7 blocks per game. In KenPom efficiency he ranked 61st in Offensive Rebound percentage with a 13.7% rating and ranked 80th in Defensive Rebound percentage with a 22.2% rating. He recorded 20 double-digit games in scoring and 14 double-digit rebound performances with seven double doubles on the season. Sherman helped Kennesaw State win its first-ever Conference USA Championship Title for a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
