HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University baseball team fell to North Carolina A&T State University 10-4 on Tuesday night at Truist Point.

Head Coach Joey Hammond: "We were completely outplayed tonight in every phase of the game. Credit to NC A&T for playing well tonight. We simply didn't do anything at an average level. I'm confident we will flush it, have two good practices, show up better and ready to compete on the road Friday."
A pair of back-to-back solo home runs got High Point on the board in the second inning.
Seojun Oh started it with a shot over the right-field wall, followed by
Jake McCarter sending one way over the left-field wall for both of their 11th home runs of the season. With the bases loaded,
Jace Kohler took advantage of a wild pitch and crossed the plate to extend the Panthers' lead to 3-0.
The Aggies responded immediately, working at-bats and scoring four runs on one hit to take a 4-3 lead after two innings.
Kohler tied the game at four in the top of the third with an RBI single through the left side.
North Carolina A&T rallied for five runs in the bottom of the sixth on five hits and two HPU errors. After a scoreless seventh, the Aggies added an insurance run in the eighth on a bloop into right field to make it 10-4.
High Point couldn't generate a rally in the ninth, falling to the Aggies 10-4 on Tuesday night.
