HIGH POINT, N.C. - The Big South Conference has announced it's weekly awards as High Point University's Noah Zimmerman was named Relief Pitcher of the Week. 

Zimmerman earned two wins out of the bullpen against Duke and USC Upstate, allowing just two hits over 6.1 innings while striking out nine. He opened the week with 2.0 innings of relief against the Blue Devils, surrendering two hits and one run with three strikeouts to earn the win. Zimmerman followed with 4.1 hitless innings and a season-high six strikeouts Sunday against the Spartans, helping High Point overcome a two-run deficit to win 7-5 and avoid a series sweep in the conference opener.

HPU is back on the diamond this weekend for a three-game series with Presbyterian College. Game one is scheduled for Friday, March 20 at 6:00 p.m.
