HIGH POINT, N.C. – It was the
Terry Anderson show in Radford, Virginia on Friday night.
From opening tip to the final buzzer, Anderson was a near-unstoppable force, posting a career-high 31 points and 12 rebounds for his second consecutive double-double and third of the season to help the High Point University men's basketball team complete a 10-point second-half comeback and beat Radford on the road, 93-83, for the Panthers' second straight victory.
"Credit Radford for coming off a one day prep after a tough hard fought game versus Winthrop, they really battled tonight," Head Coach
Flynn Clayman stated. "They will be a force to be reckoned with the remainder of the season and conference tournament with very good players and tough shot makers.
For us we started a little sloppy in our game plan execution, but we picked it up at the end of the first half going into the second half. I'm proud of a number of players, with
Terry Anderson becoming one of the best players in this league, and
Owen Aquino at the center position dishing out 15 assist to only 4 turnovers the last two games. Braden and Chase doing what they do knocking down big shots. I thought Vince and Conrad did a great job on the defense end. A hard fought road win versus a very good team pushes us to 18 wins, tied for 6th most in the nation, 17 of which coming by double digits."

A surge from beyond the arc helped HPU trim a double-digit Radford lead to just two, 44-42, with 42 seconds left in the first half.
Owen Aquino drained his fifth three-ball of the season, and
Chase Johnston caught fire, adding two quick-release triples.
HPU went into the halftime break trailing by six points, 48-42, despite Anderson's flawless first half as he shot a perfect 5-of-5 from the field and 4-of-4 at the charity stripe, totaling 14 points in 18 minutes. After knocking down two three-pointers in the first half, Hausen wasted no time in the first 1:30 of the second half, connecting on two more triples to tie the game at 48 all.

Anderson has now scored 20-plus points in five games this season and reached double-figures in 16 games, including eight straight. His 30 point performance was the first 30 points scored by a player since the 2024-25 season-opener when Johnston drained nine threes.
