DESTIN, Fla. — The High Point University men's golf team traveled to the Sunshine State to compete in the Sandestin Collegiate Classic at the Sandestin Resort & Club, which concluded on Wednesday afternoon. The team was led by Burch Harrison, who finished a career-best second place.
Head Coach Logan Davis: "This week in Destin, we had some of our new players in the lineup. I was excited for the opportunity to see them in action this week. I was able to learn a lot about them while we were at the tournament. Burch had an amazing tournament to finish tied for second. Burch didn't make many mistakes this week and it showed with where he ended up on the leaderboard. It's not where we wanted to finish on the leaderboard as a team but with that being said, we have identified what we need to improve on. I'm excited for our next tournament in Pennsylvania to see what we can come back with. I know we are super close as a team, everyone is getting better on a daily basis; I can't wait to see what these guys do together."
