WASHINGTON, D.C. – The High Point University men's lacrosse team hit the road for its fifth road game of the season at No. 12 University of Georgetown. The Panthers controlled the game through three quarters before falling 17-10 to the Hoyas.
Owen Bunten led the game with four goals on 13 shots while six other Panthers punched in solo goals.
Luca Accardo led the game with seven ground balls and went 17-for-29 from the faceoff.
"I'm really proud of how our team competed today for about three quarters…," Head Coach
John Crawley stated. "I thought we started with some energy and were doing the little things well… but eventually ran out of steam. We lost sight of the details we want to play by as we got tired, and I think Georgetown did a great job capitalizing and pulling away. I'm not sure if it was the three games in 7seven days, or being on the road… but bottom line is — our coaching staff is going to continue working to figure out how to keep inspiring the kind of energy we had in the first half. I am really proud of the progress we're making together, just have to keep chasing consistency."
