Moran-Weekes' Career Day Leads to Home Victory

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University Panthers hosted Robert Morris on Saturday afternoon and picked up its second win of the season with the 17-11 victory at Vert Stadium.

Multiple Panthers had career performances as High Point was led by Isiah Moran-Weekes with six goals, scoring four of the six in the first half while finishing with two ground balls and a caused turnover. Owen Bunten recorded five goals for a new career-high and Justin Wixted tagged a hat trick with three goals and three assists. Ryan Hynes had immaculate field vision and dished out a career-high seven assists.

"Today really felt like a team win," Head Coach John Crawley stated. "It felt like guys on both sides of the ball contributed. We had guys come off the bench to contribute on offense, defense and in the middle of the field. We had 12 of our 17 goals assisted. A couple of ugly goals off ride backs and ground balls… but I thought we played for each other and played team ball. There's still a lot for us to clean up… but today was a good step in the right direction."
