HIGH POINT, N.C. - The High Point University women's rowing team has released its 2026 spring race schedule announced by Head Coach
Jessica Deitrick on Friday afternoon.
"I believe we have a good mix of races on our schedule for this spring," Deitrick said. "The goal is to gain valuable racing experience and expose ourselves to high level rowing and racing. We have a few smaller regattas and two larger regattas which gives us the ability to see a wide range of programs. Opening our season at home with UNC and Colgate will be a great way to start the spring. We are really looking forward to returning to Sarasota in March for the Sarasota 2k and seeing how much we have improved from last year. Finishing the regular season at the Lake Wheeler Invite will also be a great opportunity for us to test speed against teams both in and out of our conference. I believe we will be well prepared for the MAC Championship and look forward to the inaugural event!"
High Point starts the spring season by hosting Colgate University and the University of North Carolina on March 21 at Oak Hollow Lake, before heading down south to Flordia to participate in the Sarasota 2k. This will be the second time the Panthers have been to the event hosted by Nathan Benderson Park. HPU will be in Florida rowing against top competition from March 27 through March 28 on the world-class 2,000 meter sprint course.
Continuing the spring slate, the Panthers will head to Norfolk, Virginia for the Old Dominion Double Dual on Saturday, April 4. Before heading to the Mid-American Conference Championship, HPU will partake in the Lake Wheeler Invite in Raleigh, NC hosted by Duke University and UNC on April 24 and April 25.
The 2026 spring marks the first championship season for the MAC as HPU will go north to Ypsilanti, Michigan on May 16 to compete for the inaugural women's rowing conference championship.
