Fletcher Named to Lou Henson Early Season Watch List

BOSTON, Mass. - CollegeInsider.com has announced the 'Early Season Watch List' for the 2025-26 Lou Henson award, which is presented annually to the top player in division I college basketball. Cam'Ron Fletcher from the High Point University men's basketball team has been selected to the mid-major list. This is the second consecutive season the Panthers have had a player named to the 'Early Season Watch List'.

Through 12 games with the Panthers, Fletcher leads the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 17.2 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game. He has produced five double-doubles and sits ranked 15th in the nation. He is ranked 21st in the country in field goals made with 80, shooting 55.6% from the field. On the boards he ranks 29th in the country with 102 total rebounds. Fletcher has had five 20-point production games scoring a career-high 27 versus UIC in the first game of the Boardwalk Battle tournament. In the championship game he scored 18 points with 12 rebounds and was named the Tournament MVP. Fletcher has also been named the Big South Player of the Week two times this season.

The recipient of the annual award is determined by a 10-member voting committee, which consists of current and former head coaches, as well as two senior staff members of collegeinsider.com.

The 2026 award will be announced in Indianapolis, IN, site of the men's Division I Basketball Championship.
