HIGH POINT, N.C. — The High Point University men's and women's basketball teams have locked in the No. 1 seeds in the 2024 Hercules Tires Big South Basketball Championships. This is the second time (2013-14) that both the men's and women's teams have won the regular season titles and enter the tournament as the No. 1 seeds.
 
High Point University was announced as the 2024 Hercules Tires Big South Basketball Championships host site in August of 2023. This will be the first time hosting the tournament inside the 4,500-seat Nido and Mariana Qubein Center and just the sixth time that all rounds of the Big South Basketball Championships will be held in the state of North Carolina. The previous times were in 1999 and 2000 in Asheville, 2016 in Buies Creek and Asheville, and 2021 and 2022 in Charlotte.

The Road to the Championship
The HPU men secured the No. 1 seed with a 13-3 league record and the HPU women secured the No. 1 seed with a league record of 14-2. Both teams will wait to play the winner of the 8/9 seed games, which are held on Wednesday. The women will play in their first game on Thursday at 11:30 a.m., while the men will play Friday at 12:00 p.m. The Big South standings are as follows:

The 2024 Hercules Tires Big South Men's and Women's Basketball Championships will be televised on ESPN+ Wednesday-through-Saturday, while Sunday's Championship game will air live on ESPN2 for first time. The Big South Men's and Women's Tournament champions receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Basketball Tournament.
