HIGH POINT, N.C. — The High Point University women's lacrosse team is hosting its 11th annual Mason Run this Saturday, April 29 at Vert Stadium, beginning at 8 a.m.
The 5k fundraises for the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, which aims to improve the quality of life for children and their families battling pediatric cancer. The Mason Run is in honor of the team's first FOJ sponsor, Mason LaVack, who passed away in 2011, but remains in our hearts forever.
"Friends of Jaclyn is close to my heart and so important to our lacrosse program," HPU Head Coach
Lyndsey Boswell said. "Honoring Mason and the LaVack family each year is the least we can do. The loss of Mason in the second year of our program will never be forgotten.
"Friends of Jaclyn is an amazing organization and we've been so blessed by the families that have touched our players lives. A constant reminder of how lucky we are every day."
Registration for the event is $20 and $5 for students, which will begin at 8 a.m., with the 5k starting at 8:30 a.m., and a raffle/various prizes being announced at 9:45 a.m. All proceeds go to the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation. If you're unable to make it to Vert Stadium, you can run from home or donate to the FOJ fund virtually through GoFundMe page by clicking

The women's lacrosse program appreciates your generous donations that benefit such a special organization.
