CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The High Point University women's lacrosse team traveled to the University of North Carolina Thursday for a midweek clash, falling 22-4 to the No. 3 Tar Heels.

Head Coach Lyndsey Boswell: "This is a very disappointing loss tonight. We were confident in our preparations before the game, but it took us until the second half to communicate and execute the game plan. We have a lot to figure out before Big South play, but I remain excited about the future of this group."
Jordan Miles and
Mena Loescher netted two goals apiece, while
Emma Nowakowski and Loescher each dished out an assist. It was the fifth multi-score game for Loescher and the fourth for Miles, who netted her goals in the first half with Loescher's coming in the final 15 minutes.
Miles also recorded a season-high four draw controls to lead the Panthers, while
Caitlyn Baehr and
Mandy Brockamp scooped up two groundballs apiece. In goal,
Taylor Suplee and
Sadie Coachman each saw time with Suplee starting and Coachman taking over with three minutes left in the third quarter. They both had a caused turnover.
