BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The High Point men's basketball team traveled to Buies Creek, North Carolina to play Campbell in their second meeting this season. The Camels home court advantage got the best of the Panthers, coming up short 66-82. High Point was led by
Bryson Childress with a career-high 20 points, going 5-for-10 from beyond the arc.

In the opening five minutes of play, High Point took pride in their defense, making it hard on the Camels. Collecting the Panthers first basket of the night
Zack Austin crossed up his defender to get to the hoop. Following up Austin's bucket, Childress knocked down his first three of the night to take a 6-5 lead.
High Point pressed on, holding a six-point lead after
Ahmard Harvey brought the ball up the court himself, beating his defender for a dish it off to
Emmanuel Izunabor on the block for and easy lay-up.
Campbell fought their way back, taking quality possessions to take their first lead since the mid-way point, but not letting them get far, Childress knocked down a three to tie the game at 26 all with four to go.
Before the half, the Camels scored three straight baskets to take a seven-point lead, to make 26-33 going into the locker room.
Through the second half, Campbell trekked on a 16-point lead. High Point battled back to cut the game to seven with Austin's transition, and-one dunk. Missing the free-throw on the three-point play, Harvey grabbed the offensive board for the put-back.
Coming down the court just two minutes later, Austin settled for another old school three-point play, this time collecting the extra point to make it 47-57, Campbell.
Childress was fouled from behind the arc and sent to the line for three. Knocking down all three, the Panthers came within seven again with just under 10 to go.
Securing his fifth three of the night from Curry range, the Panthers came within five with four minutes to go.
Jaden House took a drive through the lane to get an and-one play, keeping the Panthers within six with the point at the line.
After coming close in the final minutes, the Camels went on to score three straight lay-ups to push their lead back up to 12 before a final score of 66-82, Campbell.
