Fort Worth, Texas – In a mid-week non-conference match up following the Big South Volleyball Championship, High Point hopped on a plane to Fort Worth, Texas to take on the Horned Frogs of Texas Christian University. After a strong push in the third set, the Panthers fell 3-0 in the end.

Hanging neck and neck in the early points of the opening set,
Jayde Shelton,
Eve Wilson and
Dylan Maberry all picked up kills to contribute to the four all score. Strong serves from TCU allowed the Horned Frogs take a 12-6 lead.
HPU was unable to get the attack going as a team through the set as TCU chipped away to a large lead.
Kennedy Louisell picked up two kills mid-way through the set, but the Panthers fell 25-16.
In the second set High Point struggled to score points in their offense. A kill in the middle from
Anna Wilson sparked a few points for the Panthers to make it 19-10, TCU.
Maberry picked up one kill before the end of the set but HPU was unable to close the gap falling, 25-14 in the second set.
In the third set, Maberry strung together two back-to-back kills off the block to tie the game at four all. She later knocked in a powerful kill to keep the Panthers within one at 10-9. After Maberry knocked in kills,
Christine Graf recorded back-to-back hits to make it 12-11, still trailing by one.
High Point trailed by three on multiple occasions in the last points of the game and closed it to two at 24-22. A kill by the Horned Frogs secured the third set 25-22.
