The High Point University women's soccer team is back at home this Thursday as they host Wake Forest. The Panthers (0-1-2) are seeking their first win of the season while the Demon Deacons are 3-0-1, defeating Georgia, Rhode Island, and Milwaukee thus far.

Wake Forest is 3-0-1 to start out their season, tying their last match to Auburn on Sunday and recording three wins early in the season against the Georgia Bulldogs, the Rhode Island Rams, and the Milwaukee Panthers.

2022 marks the first season for head coach Aaron McGuiness and his two assistants, Kate Ward and Tori Collar. McGuiness comes to HPU after spending five seasons as an assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University.

After defeating Campbell in the Big South Tournament Championship, the HPU women's soccer team advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in five years. The Panthers faced No. 1 Virginia in the first round.
