WASHINGTON, D.C. – The High Point University men's soccer team faced No. 2 Georgetown on Sunday afternoon in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw. Tony Pineda scored the goal for the Panthers in the 63^rd minute.

Neither team could find the back of the net in the first half, but HPU keeper Holden Trent made three of his four saves on the day through 45 minutes.

Georgetown took the lead in the 58^th minute, but High Point's Sebastian Chalbaud moved the ball up the field to Pineda who evaded a defender and found space in the top right corner of the goal to tie the match in the 63^rd minute.

After dropping a 2-0 match in the spring 2021 NCAA Tournament to the Hoyas, this is the first time HPU has earned a point against Georgetown.
