Emmitsburg, Md.-- The High Point University women's lacrosse team fell to Mount St. Mary's 11-6 on Saturday afternoon. Abby Hormes led the way for HPU with a hat trick. Three other Panthers scored in Emma GenoveseLexi Jack, and Mandy Brockamp.

Coach Lyndsey Boswell: "We are never happy when we walk away without the result we came for, but I'm proud of this group for a lot of reasons. We will find a way to put a full game together, and when we do, it's going to be a lot of fun. Our draw unit did a great job giving us opportunities on offense, and our defense stepped up creating chances for us too. We need to convert those opportunities, and today our shots just didn't fall. We remain optimistic and look forward to getting better this week as we head into Elon in 10 days."
