HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University men's basketball picked up a 100-61 win over Bridgewater in front of a full crowd for homecoming on Saturday night. The Panthers were led by
Abdoulaye Thiam and
Jaden House, who combined for 45 points in the win.
Ahmard Harvey pulled down 11 rebounds in his High Point debut.

Thiam opened up the game with back-to-back three-pointers, giving HPU the 6-2 lead.
Jaden House started his night with an and-1 from three, converting the rare four-point play with a made free throw.
High Point opened up an 18-13 lead early in the half after an
Abdoulaye Thiam baseline drive to the basket sparked a 10-0 run, capped off by a
Zack Austin dunk.
The Panthers closed the first half on a 10-2 run behind three-pointers from
Justin Taylor and
Jake Koverman to hold a 55-21 lead at the halftime break.
House opened up the second half with another and-1 play in HPU's first possession before
Emmanuel Izunabor and Austin recorded back-to-back dunks to extend the run.
The Eagles had a 7-0 run early on in the half, but an
Ahmard Harvey jumper ended the streak to give HPU the 64-28 lead.
High Point used another 10-straight points to hold a 78-39 lead with nine minutes left to play.
An
Alex Holt hook shot, another Koverman three, and a
Sam Perez free throw helped HPU reach the 100-point threshold and finish the night with the 100-61 win.
